Kei Sato joined the Alaska Anchorage sports medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer in September 2017.
Prior to coming north, she worked from 2014-17 as an intern and graduate assistant athletic trainer at NCAA Div. I program Fresno State, with primarily responsibility for the Bulldogs' women's equestrian and men's and women's tennis teams.
Sato earned her Master of Arts in Kinesiology from Fresno State in May 2017 with an emphasis on Sport Psychology. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from the University of Central Arkansas in 2014.
Originally from Japan, Sato moved to the United States to study after high school. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and has been a certified athletic trainer since 2014. She is also certified as a Graston Technique M1-level practitioner. Sato lives in Anchorage with her husband Nick and their dog Koko.
