 Alina Cartwright

Illinois native Alina Cartwright makes her official college coaching debut in 2017 as an assistant coach with the Seawolves.

After completing her competitive career at Michigan State in 2015, Cartwright served as a student assistant for the Spartans in 2016, helping the team qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Cartwright was a four-year letterwinner at MSU, where she earned First Team All-Big Ten Conference honors as a junior in 2014. She sprung a career-high all-around of 39.125 in 2013 and was a member of the Spartans’ 2012 squad that qualified for the NCAA Championships.

Originally from Naperville, Ill., she is a graduate of from Neuqua Valley High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in advertising from MSU in 2016.
