Two-time NCAA champion Erin Alewine enters her third season with the Alaska Anchorage track & field staff in 2016-17 as an assistant coach after serving two seasons as a graduate coach.
A multi-eventer from Jefferson City, Mo., Alewine attended Central Missouri, where she registered her first NCAA title in the indoor pentathlon in 2013. Alewine then defended her title, winning the same event in 2014.
Overall, Alewine amassed 12 All-America honors throughout her career, while being named the 2013 USTFCCA Central Region Field Athlete of the Year.
Currently, Alewine – who graduated from Central Missouri with a major in dietetics and minors in food and fitness wellness – is pursuing a masters in public health at UAA.
