The University of Alaska Anchorage Athletic Department is teaming with the Blood Bank of Alaska for a LIFEmobile blood drive at the Sullivan Arena parking lot in conjunction with the Carr/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 1 to 6 p.m.

UAA is offering blood drive participants two free Shootout general admission session tickets (good for three games each) to the Nov. 28 men's championship session 

To take advantage of this incentive, appointments are recommended by contacting the Blood Bank of Alaska's donor call center at 222-5630. The Blood Bank also accepts walk-in participants if space is available. For specific information about donating, visit their website at www.bloodbankofalaska.org.

“We are pleased and honored to once again be partnering with the Blood Bank of Alaska this year at the Shootout,” said Dr. Steve Cobb, UAA director of athletics. “I urge Shootout fans to help us and the Blood Bank of Alaska to increase the vitally-needed supply of blood in Alaska.”
