ANCHORAGE – The University of Alaska Anchorage announced the women's field for the 2017 GCI Great Alaska Shootout on Monday, unveiling the three visiting teams that will battle the host Seawolves for the title of the annual Thanksgiving college basketball tournament.

Along with six-time champion UAA, the 2017 women's field will be comprised of Binghamton, Maryland Eastern Shore and Tulsa. Each program will be making its first trip to the women's Shootout, which will celebrate its 38th edition in November.

After playing on back-to-back days in previous tournaments, this year's event will feature an off day between games, with first-round contests set for Tuesday, Nov. 21 and the consolation and title games set for Thursday, Nov. 23.

First-round matchups will feature Tulsa vs. Binghamton in the early game and Maryland Eastern Shore vs. Alaska Anchorage in the nightcap. Start times will be announced later.
