Alaska Anchorage will start a four-game home stand this weekend with a pair of games against Lake Superior State. Head coach Matt Thomas be hosting a Coaches Corner Chalk Talk at 6:10 pm in the northeast lounge in Sullivan Arena.

Lake Superior State leads the all-time series with Alaska Anchorage 11-6-1, but the series is tied 3-3-0 in games played at Sullivan Arena.

Mantha For Hobey
UAA goalie Olivier Mantha is currently a candidate for the Hobey Baker Award. Mantha holds the record for career saves at UAA with 3,331.

Butcher Enjoys Productive Weekend
Senior Alec Butcher extended his goal scoring streak to four games with a goal in the first game against Minnesota State on Feb. 2. The Anchorage, Alaska, native has tallied six points (five goals, one assist) over his last five games.

Azurdia Scores Twice
Senior Austin Azurdia scored twice in Saturday’s loss at Minnesota State. His two goals tied his season-high. The Wenatchee, Washington, native leads the team in both goals (11) and points (16) this season.

First Start
Freshman Brody Claeys earned his first career start Saturday in Mankato. The St. Rose, Manitoba, native made 42 saves and allowed four goals. He made eight saves in 13 minutes of relief duty in Friday’s game.

Seawolves at the Olympics
Two UAA hockey alums will be in PyeongChang when the Olympics kick off on Feb. 9. Mat Robinson will represent Team Canada while Luka Vidmar will play for Team Slovenia.

Last Time Out
Minnesota State swept last weekend’s series (7-1, 4-3) against Alaska Anchorage in Mankato.

Looking Ahead
UAA will play its final home series of the season against Bowling Green Feb. 15-16.
