Alaska Anchorage will make its last regular season trip outside of the state of Alaska this weekend when it plays at No. 7 Minnesota State.

Mantha For Hobey
UAA goalie Olivier Mantha is currently a candidate for the Hobey Baker Award. Mantha holds the record for career saves at UAA with 3,255.

Butcher Enjoys Productive Weekend
Senior Alec Butcher tallied two points each night in last week’s series against Northern Michigan. The Anchorage, Alaska, native scored both UAA goals on Friday and followed up with a goal and an assist on Saturday. Butcher has six points (four goals, two assists) this season, including five points (four goals, one assist) in his last three games. Butcher’s two goals Friday were the most by a Seawolf since Austin Azurdia scored two at Lake Superior State on Nov. 4, 2017.

Erb-Ekholm Shows Offensive Flair
Junior Nicolas Erb-Ekholm recorded three points (one goal, two assists) in last weeks series against Northern Michigan. The Malmo, Sweden, native recorded an assist Friday and followed up with a goal and an assist on Saturday. Erb-Ekholm has 12 points (five goals, seven assists) this season.

Assists
Senior Jarrett Brown has recorded an assist in his last three games. The Beaumont, Alberta, native tallied in assist each night against Northern Michigan and had an assist against Alabama Huntsville on Jan. 12.

First Multi-Point Game
Freshman Jordan Xavier recorded his first multi-point game in Friday’s loss to Northern Michigan. The Calgary, Alberta, native collect an assist on both goals scored by Alec Butcher.

Limited Shots
Northern Michigan had just seven shots in the first period Friday, tied for the fewest Alaska Anchorage has allowed this season.

Stay Out of the Box
UAA committed a season-low two penalties for four minutes Friday against NMU.

Last Time Out
Northern Michigan moved into first place in the WCHA after sweeping Alaska Anchorage (4-2, 5-3) last weekend.

Looking Ahead
UAA will return home for its last four home games of the season. Alaska Anchorage will host Lake Superior State Feb. 9-10 and Bowling Green Feb. 15-16.
