First Assist
Freshman Jordan Xavier, who leads all UAA freshman with four goals, tallied his first career assist Friday.

Solo Goal
UAA allowed just one goal in last week’s 2-1 win over UAH. The one goal tied for the fewest the Seawolves have allowed in a game this season. Alaska Anchorage allowed one goal in its season-opening tied with No. 7 North Dakota.

Penalty Kill
UAA tied its best penalty kill of the season after killing off all five penalties in last weeks 1-1 with UAH.

Team Leader
Senior Austin Azurdia scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season in Friday’s loss to Alabama Huntsville. Azurdia has scored 22 goals and 25 assists for 47 points in 108 games during his career.

Back-to-Back
Freshman Brandon Switzer tallied his first career assist against Minnesota State on Jan. 6th and followed up with his second assist in the team’s next game against Alabama Huntsville Friday.

Light the Lamp
Junior Alex Jackstadt scored his first goal of the season in Saturday’s win over UAH. Jackstadt has 15 career points (eight goals, seven assists).

Butcher Makes Impact
Senior Alec Butcher tallied his career point for UAA, an assist in Saturday’s win. Butcher, a transfer from Sacred Heart, recorded 39 points, eight goals, 31 assists for the Pioneers.

Team Canada
Team Canada announced its team for the 2018 Winter Olympics and it included former UAA defenseman Mat Robinson. Robinson, a native of Calgary, Alberta, appeared in 143 career games from 2005-09. The defenseman tallied nine goals and 35 assists for 44 points in a Green and Gold jersey.

Last Time Out
Alaska Anchorage split last weeks home series with Alabama Huntsville. The Chargers won the first game 4-2 with the Seawolves winning the second game 2-1.

Alaska Anchorage will return home for a two-game series with Northern Michigan Jan. 26-27th.
