Junior forward Sean Wiles posted two goals against DU on Saturday, helping UAA upset the ranked Pioneers, 7-3.
MADISON, Wis. - Alaska Anchorage's junior forward Sean Wiles was awarded the Western Collegiate Hockey Association co-Offensive Player of the Week accolade after his performances in the Denver series, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Wiles, a native of Beliot, Wis., shared the weekly honor with North Dakota's Anchorage native, junior forward Evan Trupp.

At 6-4 and 211 pounds, Wiles led the Seawolves offensively against the Pioneers on Nov. 6-7 at the Sullivan Arena. Wiles produced three goals in the series, doubling his career goal production.

On Friday, Wiles registered his first goal of the season, putting the Seawolves on the board first, before eventually falling to the Pioneers, 3-2. He followed up with a pair of goals on Saturday, helping UAA to a 7-3 upset of DU. Wiles posted six shots on net in the series while earning a +4 plus/minus rating.

This is UAA's first WCHA weekly honor of the season and Wiles' first of his career.

University of Minnesota goaltender Alex Kangas received WCHA Defensive Player of the Week, while Colorado College's forward William Rapuzzi picked up the Rookie of the Week honor.
