The University of Alaska Anchorage will play its first WCHA home series this weekend when it hosts Michigan Tech.

Michigan Tech holds a slim lead in the all-time series with Alaska Anchorage 32-33-14. UAA leads the series in Anchorage 19-14-8 and is 2-13 in its last six games against the Huskies.

Seawolves vs. Cancer
The Seawolves will be teaming up with the American Cancer Society to raise funds at Saturday’s game. All proceeds of Seawolves vs Cancer will directly support the American Cancer Society’s patient lodging crisis in Alaska, providing free rooms for cancer patients requiring treatment far from home that may otherwise be unable to receive treatment because of the cost of accommodation. Goal Streak
Senior Austin Azurdia is currently riding a three-game goal scoring streak. The Wenatchee, Wash., native has scored four goals in his last three games, including two on the powerplay and the game-winner at Lake Superior State. He currently leads the team with nine points (five goals, four assists).

Point Streak Ends
Junior Jeremiah Luedtke had his four-game point streak come to an end in Saturday’s tie at Alabama Huntsville. The Lynnwood, Wash., native tallied five points (one goal, four assists) over the streak.

Three Points
Sophomore Jonah Renouf tallied a career-high three points (three assists) in last weeks tie at UAH. The last player to tally three points in a game was Matt Anholt who tallied three assists at Lake Superior State on Feb. 10, 2017.

UAA recorded a season-high 38 shots in last weeks tie at UAH. The Seawolves previous season-high was 26 which it achieved twice.

Power Play
Alaska Anchorage scored a season-high three goals on the power play in last weeks tie at Alabama Huntsville.

Last Time Out
Alaska Anchorage earned two points last week at Alabama Huntsville thanks to a 3-3 shootout win on Saturday. The Chargers won 5-1 Friday.
