SAULT STE. MARIE, MICH. – Austin Azurdia scored twice and Olivier Mantha made 34 saves to lead the University of Alaska Anchorage to a 4-1 win at Lake Superior State Saturday.

Tad Kozun gave the Seawolves a 1-0 lead less than one minute into the contest by redirecting a shot by Cam Amantea. Tanner Johnson also assisted on the goal.

After a scoreless second period, Austin Azurdia fired a wrist shot past Mareks Mitens to put UAA up 2-0 at 2:06 of the third. Eric Sinclair and Olivia Mantha recorded assists on the play.

Jake Hand broke up the shutout with a power-play goal at 6:21.

The Seawolves used strong passing to set-up Austin Azurdia for his second goal of the game, on the power play, at 8:50 of the third. Jeremiah Luedtke and Tad Kozun assisted on the goal.

Jeremiah Luedtke added an empty-net goal with just over two minutes remaining to seal the win.  

UAA goalie Olivier Mantha stopped 34 of the 35 shots he faced allowing just one goal on the power play.

LSSU finished with a 35-18 edge in shots, and each team scored on the power play (UAA 1-5, LSSU 1-2).

Tad Kozun, Austin Azurdia and Jeremiah Luedtke each tallied multiple points for UAA.

Alaska Anchorage (1-6-1, 1-1-0) will play at Alabama Huntsville Nov. 10-11.
