DAVIS, Calif. – The Alaska Anchorage gymnastics team got a career-best 38.200 all-around score from junior Madeleine Arbuckle but could not keep pace with host UC Davis in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation dual meet Friday night, falling 194.900-189.350 at The Pavilion.

The Aggies won the meet behind a 39.300 all-around from Alexis Brown.

The Seawolves’ evening was highlighted by a season-best 46.975 team total on uneven bars, led by a 9.7 score from senior Nicole Larkin and a career-high-tying 9.525 from freshman Mackenzie Miller.

Junior Morgan Ross was UAA’s other all-arounder, posting a 37.625 total and leading the team with a 9.625 vault and a 9.8 on floor exercise. Arbuckle crushed her career high on floor with a 9.625 as the Canadian improved her all-around score for the second meet in a row, and junior Kendra Daniels recorded her best floor routine ever with a 9.75.

On beam, Arbuckle, senior Brice Mizell and sophomore Kaylin Mancari tied for team-high honors with 9.575s.

The Seawolves and Aggies will meet for a rematch Sunday at 1 p.m. AST at The Pavilion.
