ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – University of Alaska Anchorage skier Casey Wright earned Google Cloud Academic All-American honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America Thursday.
Wright, a native of Melbourne, Australia, earned All-American honors after finishing 10th in the freestyle at the NCAA Championships. She finished 21st in the classic race at the NCAA Championships and represented Australia at the World Cup Finals in Quebec City. Wright represented Australia at the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang and graduated with a 4.0 GPA in physical education. She was the first student-athlete in UAA history to earn the Elite 90 Award, given to the student-athlete with the highest GPA at each NCAA Championship.
Wright is the 37th Seawolf, and 17th UAA skier, to earn Academic All-American honors.
