The Alaska Anchorage ski team will continue Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association action this week in New Mexico. The Nordic skiing events will be contested at the Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski Area with the alpine skiing events will be contested at the Red River Ski Area Feb. 1-2. 
Season High
Alaska Anchorage posted a season-high 458 points at the Montana State Invite. The Seawolves earned 72 points, the most in a single race this season, in both the men’s giant slalom and the men’s freestyle races.
Sky Kelsey led the Seawolves at the Montana State Invite with a third place finish in the giant slalom. The finish was the highest for Kelsey in a RMISA race this season. 
UAA posted eight top-10 finishes at the Montana State Invite. 
Freshman Leader
Sigurd Roenning has been the top-finisher in three of four races for the men’s Nordic team this season. The Vikersund, Norway, native has finished first, second, sixth and 11th in his four races this season. 
Different Leader
The women’s Nordic ski team has had a different top-finisher in three of four races this season. Anna Darnell has been the Seawolves top-finisher in both freestyle races this season with Natalie Hynes and Jenna Difolco each leading the team in the classic races. 
Looking Ahead
Alaska Anchorage will host a pair of competitions, the Seawolf Invitational and the NCAA Regional Championships, Feb. 17-24.
