LAKE LOUISE, ALBERTA – University of Alaska Anchorage freshman Georgia Burgess earned a podium finish after placing third at the FIS Nor-Am Downhill at Lake Louise, Alberta Dec. 5th.
Burgess finished in a time of 1:21.57, 1.39 seconds behind race winner Roni Remme. The result is the best finish for Burgess in a Nor-Am speed event.
"This is a great start to the year for Georgia," said head coach Sparky Anderson. "Georgia is a talented speed skier and it's not surprising to me to see her show up on the steps."
