ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Caroline Kurgat and Danielle McCormick of Alaska Anchorage each earned Google Cloud Academic All-District Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country Team honors Tuesday.

Kurgat won four NCAA national titles this year (indoor – 3K & 5K, outdoor – 5K, 10K) and finishes her career with seven national titles. She holds three national records (indoor – 3K & 5K, outdoor – 10K) and has a 3.47 GPA in medical laboratory science & nursing.

McCormick earned four All-American honors on the track this season. Indoors she finished second in the distance medley relay and third in the 800 at the NCAA Championships. McCormick placed fourth in the 800 and eighth in the 4x400 at the outdoor NCAA Championships. She has a 3.63 GPA in natural sciences.

Caroline Kurgat and Danielle McCormick will both be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America.

The Google Cloud All-District and All-American teams are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
