BOISE, IDAHO – The Alaska Anchorage track and field team collected six top-five finishes at the Ed Jacoby Invite hosted by Boise State Saturday.

Eduardo Orozco led the Seawolves with a win in the men’s 800 in a time of 1:57.91.

Drew Johnson placed second in the mile (4:17.64) and was fourth in the 800 (1:59.97).

The Seawolves enjoyed success in the jumps with Chris Brake placing second in the triple jump (46-8.75) and third in the high jump (6-5).

Brandon Nicholson finished third in the triple jump (45-11.75) and was ninth in the long jump (21-1.25), and Chrisalyn Johnson was fourth in the women’s long jump (17-11.75).

Elana Cano finished sixth in the pentathlon with 3,115 points, with her highest scoring event being the 60 hurdles with 865 points.

Yvonne Jeschke and Yemi Knight finished sixth (2:19.02) and eighth (2:20.92) in the 800.

Tylantis Atlas was seventh (59.80) in the 400 and 12th in the long jump (16-5.25).

D’Rhema Alston was 11th in the 400 (1:01.63), and Grace Gannon was 11th in the 3,000 (10:57.24).  

Nathan Brunett finished 11th in the 400 (50.99) and Joshua Jackman was 11th in the 200 (22.72).

Alaska Anchorage will compete at the Husky Invite in Seattle Jan. 25-26.
