HIGH SCHOOL: Class 4A first-team all-state selection as a senior at West High in 2006-07, averaging 21 points and 11 rebounds ... second-team all-state selection by the Anchorage Daily News in 2005-06 after helping West to its second straight large-schools state title ... as a junior, averaged 13.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game to go along with 55 blocks and shooting numbers of 47.2 percent overall, 42 percent from three-point range, and 83.5 percent on free throws ... originally from Mt. Hermon, La., where he played for Mt. Hermon School as a freshman in 2003-04 ... earned four varsity letters in baseball as well ...
