UAA collects six personal bests

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Alaska Anchorage Seawolves registered six personal-bests at the annual Stanford Invitational on Saturday at Cobb Track and Angell Friend.
Posting the second-fastest time in program history in the 200 meters was freshman Grace Morgan at 24.98. A local of Salt Spring Island, B.C., Morgan needs to drop .16 seconds to catch Mary Pearce’s school record of 24.82. Also setting season-best times were sophomore Ivy O’Guinn and Susan Bick in the 800 meters. O’Guinn furnished a time of 2:12.26, while Bick crossed the finish line at 2:13.98. Senior Alfred Kangogo also competed in the 800 meters, clocking in at a season-best time of 1:54.06. Both men’s and women’s relay teams posted the fastest times of the season, with the men’s squad finishing at 3:17.61 and the women’s team crossing at 3:54.59. The Seawolves will have the next weekend off before competing at the annual Mt. SAC Relays on April 19-21, Azusa Pacific Invite on April 20 and the Long Beach State Invite on April 21. |
