WINTER PARK, Colo. – Alaska Anchorage’s Andreas Adde finished sixth in the men’s slalom at the 2012 Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships on Thursday at the Winter Park Resort.

Adde, from Osteras, Norway, posted a two-run time of one minute, 33.82 seconds. The 2010 NCAA Slalom Champion, Adde’s first-run time of 47.82 was the 10th fastest on the course, while his second-run time of 46.00 was the 18th fastest.

Also skiing in the event was UAA’s Christopher Kollenborg and Niko Harmanen. Both went off course in the first run. Winning the event was Tommy Ford with a time of 1:32.20.

Action continues with the men’s and women’s Super-G on March 30, the women’s giant slalom on March 31 and the men’s giant slalom on April 1. Results can be followed at live-timing.com.
