2012: Competed in 10 of the 14 races for the Seawolves, registering five top-25 showings … produced a season-high 20th-place result in the classical at the Denver Invite, Jan. 14-21 … participated at the RMISA/NCAA West Region, finishing 24th in the freestyle and 26th in the classical ... finished the season at No. 23 in the RMISA women’s Nordic standings with 207 points, good for fourth-best on team.

2011: Wrapped up sophomore campaign with four races with the Green & Gold … posted a season-high 22nd place in the 15K classic and 31st in the 5K freestyle at the Montana State Invite … named to National Ski Coaches Association Academic All-America Team … completed season with a 36th-place ranking in RMISA women’s Nordic standings with 92 points.

BEFORE UAA: Competed freshman season of 2010 at RMISA rival University of Utah ... despite battling season-long illness, participated in all 10 races during the season, registering top finishes of 18th in the 5K classic and 19th in the 10K freestyle at New Mexico Invite ... placed 20th in the 5K classic at the Utah Invite ... skied for Lyn Ski club team in home nation ... finished 8th in the 15K skate and runner-up in the 5K team relay at Norwegian Junior Nationals ... was 10th in the Norwegian Cup in the 19-year class.

PERSONAL: Born April 16, 1989 ... daughter of Christen Smith and Anne-Kirst Aksnes ... has two siblings – Didrik and Anders ... brother Didrik skis for Univ. of Utah ... management major.
