MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Kelsey Fullerton scored a career-high 9.8 on vault Thursday as the Alaska Anchorage gymnastics team finished fourth in a quad meet at McGuirk Arena.

Host Central Michigan won the team title with 194.875 points, followed by Southeast Missouri (193.875), Eastern Michigan (191.475) and UAA (188.900).

Fullerton, UAA’s junior captain from Flower Mound, Texas, equaled the 18th-best vault score in school history and tied the best mark on any event by a Seawolf this season. She also had a 9.8 on floor Jan. 9 at UC Davis.

Junior Kaelei Spoor earned 9.625s on both vault and floor, while freshman Emily Petersen posted identical scores on bars and beam. Maria Puricelli , a senior from St. Louis, had UAA’s most consistent effort of the night with a 9.625 on floor, a 9.6 on bars and a 9.425 on vault.

Junior Kathleen Mantell tied her personal-best on both beam (9.575) and floor (9.4) as UAA competed for the first time since Feb. 12.

The Seawolves stay in the Great Lakes State for a dual meet Sunday (2:30 p.m.) against Big Ten Conference foe Michigan State in East Lansing.
