SEATTLE – Alaska Anchorage’s Morgan Cook posted a score of 36.700 in Saturday’s all-around competition at the NCAA Division I West Regional Championships at Alaska Airlines Arena.

The freshman from Hot Springs, Ark., recorded her best efforts on balance beam with a 9.525 and on floor exercise with a 9.475. She was one of five individual all-around qualifiers from non-competing teams.

“Despite trouble on vault and bars, Morgan did a great job of keeping focused and finishing strong,” said head coach Paul Stoklos, whose 28th season at the Seawolf helm came to an end with Saturday’s meet. “She did an admirable job of representing UAA at such a prestigious meet, and I’m sure she will use this as a learning experience in what is a promising future as a Seawolf.”

Alabama’s Gerlaen Stack-Eaton won the all-around with a 39.400 score as she led the 4th-ranked Crimson Tide to the team title as well.
