2013: INDOOR – Competed in the 3,000 meters for UAA, posting a time of 10:16.61 at the University of Washington Open on Feb. 10 – good for fourth best on team … OUTDOOR – Set a personal-best time of 11:27.64 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on April 19 at the Bryan Clay Invite.

2012: Set personal bests of 4:47.08 in the 1500 meters at the Bryon Clay Invite, 17:33.42 in the 5,000 meters at the Occidental Invite and 38:05 in the 10,000 meters at the GNAC Championships … 10,000 meter time ranks eighth all-time in the UAA history book … finished eighth in the 5,000 meters at the league championships with a time of 18:11.80 and fifth in the 10,000 meters.

BEFORE UAA:
Attended University of Colorado in the fall of 2011 … competed in cross country running and track & field for the Bears at Kodiak High School … the 2010 state champion in cross country and the 2011 state champion in the 1600 meters … finished runner-up at state in the 3,200 in 2011 and in the 1,600 in 2010 … won the  1,600m and 3,200m races at the 2011 Region III championships … holds the 800m and 5,000m school records at KHS  … finished eighth in the 5,000 meters at Junior Nationals in 2011 … posted personal bests of 2:20 in the 800m, 5:04 in the 1600m, 10:56 in the 3,200m and 17:24 in the 5,000m.

PERSONAL: Born March 18, 1993 in Fort Myers, Florida … daughter of William and Michelle Bethea … has one sibling – Dana … biological sciences major.
