ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Following the completion of four events, senior Kelsea Johnson sits second at the 2012 GNAC Outdoor Multi-Event Championships in the women's heptathlon on Monday.

A local of Sitka, Johnson has amassed 2,863 points, while trailing Seattle Pacific's Ali Worthen (3,152) and leading Central Washington's Tayler Fettig (2,792).

Johnson, who currently ranks 10^th in Div. II with a NCAA provisional and UAA record mark of 4,838, furnished two career-best times at Tomlinson Stadium on Central Washington's campus. Johnson finished third in the 200 meters at 25.99 and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at 15.05.

Johnson, who ranks ninth all-time in the GNAC record books, registered a leap of 5-1.25 in the high jump and 33-4.5 in the shot put.

Johnson will conclude Day 2 of the heptathlon on Tuesday with the first event scheduled to start at 9 a.m. ADT.
