ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Following the completion of four events, senior Kelsea Johnson sits second at the 2012 GNAC Outdoor Multi-Event Championships in the women's heptathlon on Monday.

A local of Sitka, Johnson has amassed 2,863 points, while trailing Seattle Pacific's Ali Worthen (3,152) and leading Central Washington's Tayler Fettig (2,792).

Johnson, who currently ranks 10th in Div. II with a NCAA provisional and UAA record mark of 4,838, furnished two career-best times at Tomlinson Stadium on Central Washington's campus. Johnson finished third in the 200 meters at 25.99 and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at 15.05.

Johnson, who ranks ninth all-time in the GNAC record books, registered a leap of 5-1.25 in the high jump and 33-4.5 in the shot put.

Johnson will conclude Day 2 of the heptathlon on Tuesday with the first event scheduled to start at 9 a.m. ADT.
