NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Alaska Anchorage men's and women's track & field teams continued to be ranked in the top 15 nationally, according to the national team computer rankings conducted by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday. The men's team moved up to No. 10, while the women's team sits at No. 11.

The men's team, which has been polled in the top 20 since the start of the 2010 season, jumped up seven positions to No.10 after being polled at No. 17 in Week 3. The Seawolves continue to be the lone Great Northwest Athletic Conference team in the top 25 and are fifth in the West Region, with Grand Canyon leading the region.

The women's team, which fell three positions in Week 4, continues to lead the GNAC with its nearest league foe, Seattle Pacific, dropping two positions to No. 21. The Seawolves moved up to second in the West Region, trailing Grand Canyon.

Leading Div. II is Adams State on the women's side and Saint Augustine's on the men's side.

The Seawolves are idle this weekend before the multi-eventers compete in their portion of the GNAC Championships on April 30 and May 1 in Nampa, Ida. The rest of the Seawolves will partake in the Occidental Invitational on May 5 in Eagle Rock, Calif.
