ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Lake Superior State completed the weekend sweep of Alaska Anchorage with a 2-1 win Saturday.

A trio of UAA freshman combined to score the game’s first goal. Trey deGraaf scored off a rebound at 5:26 of the first for his third goal of the season. Jordan Xavier and Eric Sinclair assisted on the goal.

The Lakers scored the game-tying goal thanks to a five-on-three powerplay. Max Humitz scored on the doorstep with a top-shelf shot with two seconds remaining in the first.

Anthony Nellis scored the game-winner with a low wrist shot at 6:34 of the third.

Shots were tied at 23, and both teams finished 1-for-4 on the powerplay.

Brody Claeys made 21 saves in his second career start.

Alaska Anchorage will host Bowling Green in a Thursday-Friday series Feb. 15-16.
