The University of Alaska Anchorage will host Alabama Huntsville for a two-game series at Sullivan Arena Jan. 12-13.

Special Events
Saturday’s game will be Military Appreciation Day with all military members, veterans and dependents receiving free admission. Be sure to bring your skates to the game because fans will be allowed to skate with the Seawolves following the game. Jerseys will be auctioned following the game with all proceeds benefiting the hockey team.

UAA is 20-8-3 all-time against UAH and 14-3-0 against the Chargers in Anchorage. The Seawolves won the first seven meetings against the Chargers, and 17 of the first 19 games. UAH leads 3-1-1 in the last five meetings with UAA.

700th Game
UAA broadcaster Kurt Haider will broadcast his 700th Seawolves game on Saturday. Haider first broadcasted UAA games in the 1996-97 season.

Kozun Capitalizes
Senior Tad Kozun scored his fourth goal of the season in Friday’s loss. Kozun leads the team in both career goals (28) and points (65).

First Point
Freshman Brandon Switzer tallied his first career point with an assist on Jordan Xavier’s goal in Saturday’s loss.

Junior Nils Rygaard scored his first goal of the season shorthanded in Friday’s loss. The last time a Seawolf scored a shorthanded goal was Matt Anholt against Bowling Green on Dec. 30, 2016.

First Period Lead
UAA’s loss Friday was the first this season when it leads after the first period. The Seawolves are 1-1-1 when leading after the opening frame.

Last Time Out
Minnesota State won both games (5-2, 4-1) against Alaska Anchorage at Sullivan Arena Jan. 5-6.
