The Rochester, N.Y., native becomes the fourth full-fledged All-American in program history – all since 2009 – and gives UAA the honor for the first time in consecutive seasons, following fellow third-teamer Megan Mullings in 2016.
The 6th-leading scorer in Div. II with 21.3 points per game, Williams was a unanimous Great Northwest Athletic Conference First Team selection and the GNAC Newcomer of the Year in her lone season after transferring from Div. I Little Rock.
A 5-10 forward, she also averaged 2.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.6 steals per game, while shooting 50 percent from the floor, 37 percent from long range and 73 percent at the foul stripe. Williams captured the GNAC Tournament MVP, helping the Seawolves finish 30-2 overall – including a 20-0 GNAC mark – and reach as high as No. 2 in both national polls.
Just the third player in league history to earn four GNAC Player of the Week honors in the same season, Williams also broke the Seawolves’ single-season scoring record with 682 points, pacing her team in 29 of 32 contests. She also ranked 32nd nationally in steals per game, helping UAA lead that category nationally for the fourth straight season with 15.6 spg.
