The gym floor at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex was completely refurbished, along with a new paint job, in summer 2003.

The gymnasium serves as host to UAA's men's and women's basketball, volleyball and gymnastics teams.The newly refurbished arena seats 1,250 for basketball and volleyball.

Jersey and banner displays on the east and west walls of the gymnasium commemorate past champions of the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout.

The ice rink at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex is the main practice facility for the Seawolf hockey team, and is also used for public rental and open recreation. With seating of 750, the venue can be transformed into an arena for ice shows or hockey games. The loop around the rink is used as a Jogging Track (9.5 laps to a mile).

The fitness center has been newly remodeled over the summers of 2001 and 2002. It features the latest in Nautilus equipment in one area; the cardio room has elliptical, treadmills, Life Fitness cycles; and a room full of free weight equipment. The cardio room also has four TV screens.

A 25-yard by 25-meter “L” shaped pool is the perfect place to cool off or work out. With six lanes to separate the swimmers, the lap swim seems to never be crowded.
