COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Alaska Anchorage head coach Matt Curley has been named head coach of the U.S. Under-17 Men's Select Team that will compete in the 2019 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament in Füssen, Germany, Aug. 11-17.

Curley will be joined behind the bench by assistant coaches Mike Corbett (Alabama-Huntsville), Dave Caruso (Ohio State University) and Rich Hansen (USA Hockey).

Curley will be serving on a U.S. staff in international competition for the fifth time and his first as head coach. Most recently, he was an assistant coach for the U.S. Under-17 Men's Select Team that placed third at the 2018 Five Nations Tournament. Additionally, Curley was an assistant coach for the U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team during the 2011, 2013 and 2015 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Men’s World Championships, helping the United States to gold medals in 2011 and 2015. Curley also served as an assistant coach with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program from 2010-12.
