Tax Information

A new tax code went into effect January 1, 2018 that eliminates the "80/20" rule for seating obligations tied to season tickets.

Regardless of the new tax changes, what has not changed is the impact your financial investment makes in the lives of our student-athletes.  Seawolf student-athletes will always be our first priority and funding their opportunity to succeed, on and off the field, is made possible through private donations, which includes seating obligations.  Seawolf Athletics will continue to rely on your support in our mission to Achieve Excellence.

Major gifts and contributions not associated with seating obligations continue to be 100% deductible.  All philanthropic contributions to Seawolf Athletics are processed by the University of Alaska Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.

Please consult your tax professional about how current tax codes may impact your specific contributions to Seawolf Athletics and the Seawolf Athletic Association.
