A former 4-year letterwinner at Rutgers University, Straub competed in more than 40 career meets and helped the Scarlet Knights to an NCAA Div. I Regional Championships berth as a senior in 2014. A Second Team All-East Atlantic Gymnastics League all-around honoree as a sophomore in 2012, she posted career-highs of 9.875 on vault, 9.7 on uneven bars, 9.875 on balance beam, 9.8 on floor and 38.825 all-around.

“We are extremely excited to add Alyssa to our coaching staff,” said Stoklos, who enters his 31st season as the program’s leader in 2015. “She is a truly dynamic individual who will add energy and excitement to our training and competitions. Coach (Tami) Monette and I are thrilled to welcome her to the Seawolf Gymnastics family.”

Prior to college, the native of Nazareth, Pa., was a five-time Junior Olympic national qualifier, winning a national vault title in 2009, plus state and regional all-around titles in 2010.
