ANCHORAGE – College Sports Information Directors of America named Alaska Anchorage senior Nordic skier Lukas Ebner to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-Amierca Division II Men’s At-Large Team on Wednesday.

Ebner, from Furtwangen, Germany, was the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association’s men’s Nordic MVP, finishing in the top five in eight of 10 races this season, including victories at the Montana State and New Mexico invitationals. At the NCAA Championships in March, he earned the second and third All-America finishes of his career, leading the Seawolves to eighth place in the final team standings.

The men’s ‘at-large’ category encompasses student-athletes in 12 sports – fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, riflery, skiing, swimming, tennis, wrestling, volleyball, water polo.

Along with his success on the trails, Ebner posted a 3.76 overall grade-point average as a double-major in marketing and finance. He graduated earlier this month with cum laude honors.
