ANCHROAGE – Four freshmen goals lifted the Gold team over Green, 5-2 in the Alaska Anchorage hockey scrimmage at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex on Saturday morning.

In the game, which was just two periods of play, fans were able to see the freshman class for the first time. The Gold team posted two goals from rookies forward Tanner Dusyk (Montmartre, Sask.) and forward Hudson Friesen (East St. Paul, Manitoba). Hudson, whose second goal was on the empty net, also furnished an assist on Dusyk’s opening goal.

Also registering a two-goal game was senior Brett Cameron. Cameron, a co-captain from Spruce Grove, Alberta, tallied the Green team’s only strikes.

Senior co-captain Matt Bailey recorded a goal and an assist, while sophomore Austin Sevalrud contributed from the blueline with two helpers for Gold.

The Seawolves start the 2013-14 season with an exhibition game on Oct. 4 against University of British Columbia at the WFSC. The regular season will commence on Oct. 11-12 with the 23rd annual Kendall Hockey Classic at the Sullivan Arena.
