ANCHORAGE – Alaska Anchorage volleyball head coach Chris Green announced his team’s 2013 schedule on Thursday, including the lineup for the Seawolves’ own SpringHill Suites Invitational.

UAA, coming off its fifth straight winning season, will play 14 regular-season home matches, beginning with the 17th edition of their annual tourney, Sept. 5-7. Visiting for the 2013 SpringHill Suites Invitational will be teams from every region of the country, including West Regional foe Notre Dame de Namur (Calif.), along with American International (Mass.), Augustana (S.D.), Claflin (S.C.) and Texas A&M-Kingsville.

After a Green & Gold Intrasquad match on Aug. 24, the Seawolves will open the regular-season on the road at NCAA Div. II West Region champion BYU-Hawaii on Aug. 29, followed by road contests against Chaminade and Hawaii-Hilo.

Following the SpringHill Suites Invite and a rare Monday home match against Colorado Christian on Sept. 9, the Seawolves will make it nine matches in 10 days when they face four regional opponents at the UC San Diego Invitational, Sept. 13-14.

Longtime rival Seattle Pacific invades the Wells Fargo Sports Complex to start the Great Northwest Athletic Conference campaign on Sept. 19, while November visits from Alaska Fairbanks and defending GNAC champ Western Washington also highlight the 18-match league slate.

The NCAA West Regional Championships are set for Dec. 5-7 at a site to be determined.
