ANCHORAGE – Freshman Kayli Davies delivered a win on vault and tied for top honors on floor exercise Sunday to lead the Gold team to a 111.875-110.925 victory in the Alaska Anchorage gymnastics Green & Gold Intrasquad scrimmage at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.

Davies, from Mission Viejo, Calif., opened with a 9.625 vault in the first rotation and capped her afternoon with a 9.325 on floor, performing fourth in the order on both events.

Other event winners were junior Emily Petersen on uneven bars with a 9.625, sophomore Paige Pirie on balance beam with a 9.5, and freshman Stefany Bryan with a 9.325 on floor to equal Davies.

Freshman Simone Penker, from Maria Saal, Austria, won the all-around with a 37.475 in her debut, taking top-3 placings on bars (9.425), beam (9.475) and floor (9.15).

The Seawolves begin the regular season with a pair of road meets – Jan. 10 at Bridgeport and Jan. 12 at Rutgers – before returning home Jan. 25-26 against Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rival Seattle Pacific.
