ANCHORAGE - In addition to their unprecedented competitive success for the 2011-12 campaign, University of Alaska Anchorage student-athletes continued their remarkable success in the classroom this year, combining for a 3.18 grade point average over both semesters. After posting a 3.17 mark in the fall, the Seawolves improved that number to 3.19 for the spring term. Meanwhile, 18 student-athletes achieved 4.0 GPAs for the spring semester, including an unprecedented 13 who achieved a perfect mark throughout the entire calendar year. Ten of the school's 11 teams earned combined GPAs of 3.0 or better for the academic year, led by the men's ski team at 3.55.
