In her 16th season as assistant coach for the Seawolf gymnastics team in 2011, Tami Monette has become an integral part of the program.
Monette was voted the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Assistant Coach of the Year in 2009 for the third time, repeating the honor she shared in 2006 and won outright in 2005.
Monette has an extensive background in gymnastics as a competitor, head coach, compulsory judge and club owner. She has served two stints as head coach for the Anchorage Gymnastics Association, from 1993-95 and from 1978-85.
Monette currently serves as an age-group director at the state level. She is USA safety-certified and has served as a judge at levels five through seven. She has placed gymnasts on Region II teams to Nationals from 1985 through 1995.
