KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A trio of Alaska Anchorage men’s basketball players were recognized for their fine academic work Tuesday, earning a spot on the 2017-18 National Association of Basketball Coaches’ Honors Court.

Redshirt sophomore forward Curtis Ryan paced the Seawolves with a 3.35 overall grade-point average as a marketing major, while junior forward Brian Pearson (3.27, civil engineering) and junior guard Josiah Wood (3.22, marketing) also earned recognition.

To qualify for the honors court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior with a minimum 3.20 GPA at the conclusion of the academic year.
