PORTLAND, Ore. - The Alaska Anchorage men's and women's cross country teams were named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Teams of the Week following their record-breaking performances at the league championships on Saturday.

Led by individual titles by Micah Chelimo and Susan Tanui, both squads posted records in their respective races. The women's team was near perfect, furnishing 16 point, while the men's team broke their previous record of 27 with 23 points.

The ranked Seawolves will be idle this weekend before competing at the NCAA Div. II West Regional on Nov. 3 in Hawaii.
