Adam Friese enters his first year as the assistant strength and conditioning coach after spending the previous two season as a graduate assistant coach for strength and conditioning. Prior to joining the strength and conditioning staff he worked with the hockey team at UAA for three seasons.
Outside of UAA, Friese is a personal trainer at The Alaska Club after working for a year and a half at the sports specific gym, Acceleration Alaska. Prior to his professional career, Friese was a member of the junior A hockey team, the Alaska Avalanche, and attended UAA on an academic scholarship.
A local of St. Louis Park, Minn., Friese has spent 20 years in Alaska and graduated from Wasilla High School in 2008, where he was a four-year letterwinner in both hockey and soccer. His class valedictorian, Friese was voted the Mat-Su Valley Student Athlete of the year in 2008.
