As the 2018-19 academic year came to a close recently, the University of Alaska Anchorage Athletic Department had a chance to recognize several long-serving employees.

Nine employees were honored, with their combined service time at UAA equaling 190 years. They are: fiscal manager Roxanne Swallows (30 years), men’s basketball head coach Rusty Osborne (25), senior associate athletic director Jane Pallister (25), associate athletic director Dede Allen (25), associate media relations director Nate Sagan (20), interim director of recreation & intramural sports Julie Weber (20), fiscal manager Diana Campbell (20), assistant director of operations Tony Houston (15), and recreation program supervisor Paul Barrett (10).

"These folks have provided Seawolf Athletics and UAA with so much more than years of service,” said UAA athletic director Greg Myford, who presented the employees with their anniversary service pins. “This amount of time, paired with their effort, results in benefits like organizational stability, historical perspective and seasoned decision-making that only comes with long-term commitments. They are terrific teammates in every sense of the word."
