NEW ORLEANS – The Alaska Anchorage cross country and track and field teams recently earned several academic and athletic honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA).
The Seawolves had four cross country runners earn all-academic honors. To earn all-academic honors, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 and finished among the top 30 percent of eligible runners at his or her regional championships and/or the top half of the field at the NCAA Championship meet.

Alaska Anchorage had both the men's and women's cross country teams earn USTFCCA Academic Team awards. The women's program posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.51 and the men recorded a 3.43 cumulative grade point average.
UAA had 26 student-athletes earn All-West Region honors during the indoor season.
