HUNTSVILLE, UTAH – Georgia Burgess led the University of Alaska Anchorage alpine ski team with a 17th place finish in the slalom (1:37.97) at the University of Utah Invite Saturday.

Charlie Field finished 20th (1:40.46), and Alix Wells was 24th (1:52.65).

Anthony Naciuk led the men’s team finishing 18th (1:20.19). Dominic Unterberger finished 19th (1:20.68), and Erik Cruz was 22nd (1:21.93).

The Seawolves are seventh in the team standings with 176 points.

Nora Grieg Christensen of Colorado won the women’s race (1:29.79), and Vergard Busengdal of New Mexico won the men’s race (1:18.61).

The UAA alpine team will compete at the New Mexico Invite on Feb. 3-4.
