LACEY, Wash. (Jan. 21) – Seniors Autummn Williams and Kiki Robertson combined for 28 points Saturday to lead a balanced attack for 5th-ranked Alaska Anchorage in a 78-41 women’s basketball victory over Saint Martin’s at Marcus Pavilion.

UAA (17-1, 10-0 GNAC) scored the game’s first 15 points and led by double figures for the final 37 minutes, getting a game-high 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from Williams. Robertson added 11 points, three assists and six steals as the Seawolves stretched their winning streak to 13 games and stayed perfect against NCAA Div. II opponents this season.

The Saints (5-13, 1-9) were led by 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting and three assists from forward Elin Johansson, but the rest of her teammates shot 8 of 31 from the field and the hosts committed 31 turnovers against UAA’s pressing defense.

All 10 active Seawolves scored at least two points, including nine apiece for sophomores Hannah Wandersee (4-6 FG, 1-1 3FG) and Tara Thompson. Freshman Kimijah King added eight points and five rebounds, Sierra Afoa had seven points (3-5 FG) and five rebounds, and Shelby Cloninger had four points, a team-high six rebounds and a career-high six assists. UAA also got a lift from junior guard Zhara Laster, who chipped in six points (3-3 FG), four rebounds and three assists in just 14 minutes.

The Seawolves matched their nation-leading steals average with 17 swipes – including three by freshman Yazmeen Goo – and converted all seven of their free throws. UAA outshot the Saints 52 percent to 34 percent and won the rebounding battle 33-23, earning its fifth straight win in the series.

The result also extended the Seawolves’ school-record streaks of 17 consecutive road wins and 14 straight GNAC road wins, while the 13 overall victories are now fifth-best among the program’s all-time stretches.

Robertson – who became the UAA and GNAC career steals leader last week – added another milestone as she caught former teammate Jessica Madison (2012-16) for third-most wins in a Seawolf uniform, now with 103.

The Seawolves return home to the Alaska Airlines Center to begin the second half of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference schedule next week with games against Alaska Fairbanks (Tues., Jan. 24) and Montana State Billings (Thur., Jan. 26).
