Men's hoops adds game at D-I BYU

ANCHORAGE – Alaska Anchorage men’s basketball coach Rusty Osborne announced Wednesday that the Seawolves have added a game against Division I opponent Brigham Young to start the 2013-14 season.

UAA will travel to Provo, Utah, for a Nov. 2 exhibition contest against the Cougars at the Marriott Center.

The Seawolves, of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, finished 18-9 in 2012-13 and return one of the top backcourts in NCAA Div. II with senior Kyle Fossman and juniors Travis Thompson and Teancum Stafford. BYU, of the West Coast Conference, is coming off a 24-12 season and a trip to the Postseason NIT semifinals.

Tip time for the Nov. 2 game is to be announced.
