BEFORE UAA: Member of German Junior National Team ... won the 3,000 at the German Junior Indoor and Outdoor Championships ... starts collegiate career with personal bests of 1:59.31 in the 800 meters, 3:56.35 in the 1500 meters, 8:28.82 in the 3,000 meters and 15:30 in the 5,000 meters ... father, Dieter Notz, placed fourth at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Nordic Skiing.
