NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The Northridge Invitational was disrupted following a handful of events Saturday due to inclement weather at Matador Track Complex. The meet was not cancelled, although many teams chose not to finish for fear of injuries.
Events that were contested included the men’s and women’s 400-meter hurdles. Senior Shaun Ward posted an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the men’s 400-meters hurdles with a time of 52.74, while sophomore Haleigh Lloyd improved upon her NCAA provisional time, crossing the finish line in 1:01.52.
Ward would need to record a time of 51.82 for automatic qualification, while Lloyd would need to reach 59.72.
The Seawolves will have the next weekend off before heading to Salem, Ore., for the annual Willamette Invitational on March 30-31.
