TOWSON, Md. - Sophomore Melissa Doucette delivered Alaska Anchorage's best all-around performance of the season Sunday to lead the Seawolves to second place in a gymnastics tri-meet at Towson Center.

The Seawolves (3-3) also got a runner-up 9.75 score on uneven bars from freshman Sariaye Jensen as they came back to beat William & Mary on the final rotation, 187.875-184.900. Host Towson ran away with first place with 193.000 points.

Doucette set her career- and UAA season-high for the fourth straight meet, finishing third among seven all-arounders with 38.400 points. The New Hampshire native also set career-highs on floor (9.75) and bars (9.65), while equaling her best mark on balance beam (9.375).

Towson's Kacy Catanzaro won the all-around at 38.900, winning every event but floor exercise.

The Seawolves, who have now already eclipsed their win total from 2011, also got career-highs from freshman Jeanette Conrad, who scored 9.575 on floor and 9.525 on uneven bars, finishing with a 36.225 all-around mark.

UAA trailed William & Mary 141.750-140.957 after three rotations, but the Seawolves delivered solidly on vault - led by Shakea Sanders' 9.675 - and the Tribe struggled with multiple falls on bars.

Sanders, a senior from Federal Way, Wash., tied her season-best on vault and had her top floor score this year with a 9.575. Fellow senior Kaelei Spoor posted a 9.65 for UAA's second-best mark on floor, helping the Seawolves to a season-high 48.075 on that apparatus.

UAA also produced a season-high 47.800 on bars, paced by Jensen, Doucette, Conrad and senior Kathleen Mantell (9.5).

The Seawolves are off next week before traveling for a dual meet at Denver University on Feb. 4 (4 p.m. AST).
